Flexible Working Law 101

The Netherlands is a leader in flexible working law, yet most Works Councils (and in turn, their employees) are not properly informed about their rights. One of the top measures employers can take to support employee wellbeing is to implement flexible working policies. In this training, you will build the foundation of which flexible working measures employees are already entitled to by law, so your Works Council can educate them and form a stance on what further flexible working policies should be adopted in your organization.

Your Works Council Will:

  • Learn about why Flexible Working Policies are important

  • Build confidence on Dutch law when it comes to adjusting working hours, working locations, on-call policies, and long term leaves of absence.

  • Explore case law around flexible work

  • Get inspired by industry benchmarks & examples of progressive flexible work policies

Works Council Fundamentals training is a required pre-requisite to the Flexible Working Law 101 training.

This training is best for a small group or committee (5 or less attendees).

After you learn about the legal foundations, you can add a 0.5 day stance-building workshop to this session to build your committee’s position on a specific flexible working policy you would like to initiate in your organization.
